A certificate of lawfulness has been granted for a self contained dwelling on land at Puxton, North Somerset. The site in question was previously built as an annex to the main farmhouse. However, the occupier had used it as their residence for a continual period of no less than 4 years and as such with the associated evidence to confirm this, North Somerset Council granted the Certificate of Lawfulness.
The certificate can now be used as the necessary paperwork to have the property recognised as a dwelling in its own right. Importantly, a mortgage may now be taken out on the property.
