Barn conversion to residential granted planning permission

Renplan have successfully secured planning permission for a residential barn conversion in the open countryside and within an area recognised as being at risk of flooding.

A certificate of lawfulness was first secured for the use of a mobile home on land at Gooseacre Farm, Puxton, North Somerset as residential accommodation.

The planning application subsequently offered the termination of the use of the mobile home for residential accommodation on occupation of the proposed barn conversion. The proposal provided an improved situation in relation to flood risk and together with no additional residential use being proposed at the farm, these matters were important material considerations that were afforded significant weight in the determination of the planning application.
